Lakepointe Environmental has always performed their contracts well beyond expectations. The benefits we received included a 50-80% reduction in fats, oils and grease (FOG), at the headworks of the facility where the product was use in the tributary systems. IN addition, the "soft costs" can only be estimated, but they included a reduction in blockages and Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSO's), unscheduled overtime and fewer customer complaints. The target for our division was 10 or fewer SSO's per year. I am happy to say we hit that target.
The system I was responsible for, and I say "was", as I retired in 2017, serves a population of 48,000 people with 21,000 paying customers. The dosing was for was for a single facility, our Osprey Water Reclamation Facility, with an average daily flow of ~ 2 million gallons per day. The product was applied from approximately 10 lift stations the greatest distance from the Osprey Facility, to maximize the retention time in the system. The last cost benefit analysis I performed indicated an approximate return of 25% on the cost of the contract. We were very pleased with that. I should also mention, the only responsibility we had for dosing of the product was storing it. The Lakepointe contract was turn key and they had personnel that operated and maintained the dosing equipment. We provided a 120VAC receptacle for powering the small pump needed.
I hope this has been helpful and answered your questions. If you have any other questions, 0please do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck with your project!

ln the past, Brevard County wastewater treatment plant experienced upset conditions characterized by
episodes of process sludge bulking, low dissolved oxygen (DO), high lnfluent biological oxygen demand
(BOD)and were incapable to produce reuse water due to high turbidity. This in turn caused the plant
to have permit exceedances and the inability to produce reclaim water. County staff began exploring
the use of biological additives to eliminate the Fats, Oils, and Greases (FOG) coming into the
plant. Lakepointe Environmental Group's product, AXCELL+ System was selected and staff began dosing
at two locations, an upstream lift station and the treatment plant. Within a week the plant observed
improved operating conditions, including decreasing effluent turbidity, lower BOD's and improved
sludge settling within the clarifiers.
AXCELL+ is a 100% liquid plant extract that functions to stimulate existing bacteria in the wastewater
stream. This was patented by the University of Hawaii upon the discovery of new alkaloid, proxerinine
This alkaloid provides cellular metabolism and increases activity for a wide range of wastewater
microorganisms. The increase in DO with using AXCELL+ has shown excellent results, not only on FOG
issues, but we have reduced influent BOD. Reduction in BOD, directly reduces the amount of sludge
volumes and the aeration needed at the plant to accomplish that. Lt has eliminated FOG's,not by just
emulsifying them and carrying them further downstream within the treatment process. The addition
of biological pretreatment product appears to have been beneficial to the plant operations at
Brevard County, Florida
The County Utilities wishes to continue the sole source/use of the AXCELL +injection system at Port St
John because it has continued to maintain the plant in compliance with Florida's Department of
EnvironmentaI Protection.
